If the “Divo de Juárez” is always at the top of your list of most-listened-to artists, you need to sign up for this fantastic event, which is part of August’s Museum Night. It’s a tribute to Juan Gabriel at the Perfume Museum, commemorating the tenth anniversary of the idol’s passing.
The event will take place this Wednesday, August 26; remember that the MUPE is located at Tacuba 12, in the Historic Center. General admission costs $50 per person and will allow you to enjoy a magical evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
It’s worth noting that this tribute isn’t the only activity on the program. You can also participate in the “Paint Your Milagrito” workshop at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., which draws on the popular Mexican tradition of having an amulet to ask for a divine favor. The workshop costs $150, and each session is limited to 20 people (registration takes place at the museum).
In addition, there will be an exclusive scent-tasting session called “Mexican Artistic Perfumery” during those same hours, for $150, with space for 50 people per time slot.
The highlight of the evening will be at 7:30 p.m. with the grand Tribute to the Divo de Juárez, presented by MVS Music Center. This show has seating for 50 people, and the best part is that it’s already included in your museum admission ticket.
