Leonora Carrington, one of the leading figures of Mexican surrealism, stood out for her mystical vision and the use of creatures, rituals, and alchemy in her works. Her art seems to be drawn from our deepest dreams. 

To learn more about her artistic work in a way unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, Leonora Carrington: Laberinto Mágico is coming to Mexico City with an experience you won’t want to miss. 

We have to warn you: this is not just a simple maze. It is a winding path that will make you feel as if you were in Leonora’s world. As you make your way through, you’ll encounter 11 monumental sculptures such as “Palmist, ” “Cat of the Night, ” “The Unknown, ” among others. 

In each of the passageways, you’ll see Carrington’s gigantic figures that reference themes that interested the artist, such as freedom.

The tour has no set direction because (as the artist herself preached) in Leonora Carrington ’s labyrinth, getting lost is not a mistake, but part of the process.

In addition to being a fun adventure full of mystery, this experience is also visually stunning, with a hypnotic atmosphere that will bring you closer to the artist’s works in a way you never could have imagined.

You’ll also find other original works by Leonora Carrington, such as engravings, lithographs, and personal objects.

When and where will Leonora Carrington: Magical Labyrinth be held?

This experience, inspired by the artist’s dreamlike worlds, has already opened in the Juárez neighborhood, at General Prim #90, Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
