Works by Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and Roberto Montenegro are some of the pieces that make up the new Museo Vivo del Muralismo, located in the Historic Center of Mexico City.
The precinct was inaugurated this Wednesday, September 25 at the facilities of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) located at 📍República de Argentina 28, Historic Downtown Mexico City.
According to a press release from the government of the CDMX, this new museum of the CDMX houses 298 pieces of mural collection.🎟️entrada will be free!
This is what the Museo Vivo del Muralismo looks like.
Throughout three levels you will find several exhibition halls. On the first floor there are several spaces, such as “Muralisms and experimentation”. On the first floor there are two rooms, including the one called “Murals and their interpretation”.
On the second floor you will find the historical rooms. According to the SEP, the precinct houses more than 3,000 square meters of murals. As you can see, not only will you see these works, but you will also learn more about this type of art.
In addition to exhibition halls, the precinct has a bookstore and a reading room for children. You can visit it from 📅Wednesday to Sunday in a 🕛 schedule from 10:00 to 18:00. Admission is free.
