The Macabre Festival 2025 has already begun! This film festival, focused on horror films, will have screenings in different venues in Mexico City from August 19 to 31. The best part is that some of the screenings are free.
Inspired by films such as “The Shining”, this year’s festival is called Hotel Macabro, paying homage to iconic horror movie hotels. According to Mexico City’s Ministry of Culture, 139 films from different countries will be screened.
Among the films to be screened is a restored version of Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. Are you going to miss it? Take note of all the details of this film festival.
Where will the screenings of Festival Macabro 2025 take place?

- Cinemanía
- Baro Utopia
