As part of the activities to commemorate the International Day of Indigenous Peoples, this Saturday, August 9, the Megacalenda 2025 will take place in CDMX. It will conclude in Mexico City’s Zócalo where the celebration will continue with several activities.
Through social networks, the Ministry of Culture informed that the Megacalenda will feature chinelos, regional catrinas, Tlacololeros and more. You will even see the Comparsa Tapia and the San Pablito Carnival.
Through dances and music, the cultural diversity of indigenous peoples and communities from different parts of the country will be shown.
This is what the Megacalenda 2025 will be like in CDMX.

According to the agency, the tour will begin at the Angel of Independence and end at the Zócalo of Mexico City, where the participants of the calenda will continue with music and dances on the stage of the place.
The tour will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, while the activities in the Zócalo will start at 12:00 noon. Access is free.
And while you are in the Zócalo, it is important to mention that from August 8 to 24, the Festival of Indigenous Cultures, Indigenous Peoples and Neighborhoods of the CDMX will be held. Typical dishes, handicrafts and more will be offered.
There will even be a stage in the Zócalo where you will see plays, poetry presentations in indigenous languages and music. Admission is free.
