If you’re still in the soccer spirit and proud of the Mexican National Team, this weekend there will be a special celebration in the Historic Center to share that pride with the whole family. The event will take place at the Alameda Central, where there will be free activities for kids and adults alike.
The event is organized jointly by PILARES, CONCANACO, and Mexico City authorities, with the goal of bringing fans together for a morning filled with music, games, and a festive atmosphere.
Batucada, live music, and activities for the whole family
The celebration will begin with a parade by the PILARES Monumental Batucada, which will set off from Doctor Mora Street on Juárez Avenue, heading toward the bandstand in the Alameda Central. There, the program will continue with a performance by Martina de Santos, as well as various recreational activities.
Attendees will also be able to participate in a penalty kick challenge, while the little ones will receive soccer balls as gifts, while supplies last. In addition, there will be fun activities designed for the whole family to enjoy.
The dress code? Wear green! The organizers are inviting attendees to wear the Mexican National Team jersey to fill one of the city’s most iconic public spaces with green, white, and red and celebrate this sporting moment together.
