The FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11, opening up an opportunity for young people who want to get involved in activities related to tourism, hospitality, and culture. The best part? Not only will you participate in a historic event, but you’ll also receive a monthly stipend.
You should know that this program is part of “Youth Building the Future,” promoted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, and is aimed at people seeking to gain work experience while receiving training.
Requirements, payment, and how to apply for the World Cup Youth Ambassadors program
To become a Mexican ambassador for the 2026 World Cup, you must meet some basic requirements: First, you must be between 18 and 29 years old, not currently studying or working , and commit to attending the assigned training sessions and activities.
During your participation, you’ll receive a monthly stipend of $9,582 pesos, plus IMSS health insurance. The program initially lasts two months, though you can extend your training for up to 12 months, which will allow you to obtain an official certificate of work experience.
The registration process for World Cup Youth Ambassadors is simple: you must create an account on the Youth Building the Future platform, complete your profile with the requested documents, and choose a work location based on your interests or location. You will then have an interview, and if selected, you will begin your training.
Upon completion, you’ll receive a certificate attesting to your skills, which can open doors to employment or help you start your own business. Who knows? You might even get hired at your own workplace.
