This summer, you’ll have one more reason to visit some of Mexico City’s most important cultural venues. The Southern Museum Circuit returns in July and August 2026 with an initiative that invites you to explore venues dedicated to art, history, science, and the cultural heritage of the southern part of the capital.
The idea is simple: visit the participating museums, collect the corresponding stamps, and complete the circuit to receive a special gift at the program’s closing ceremony. It’s an ideal activity for families, students, culture lovers, and anyone who wants to take advantage of the summer break to discover new places in the city.
A tour of some of the most important museums in southern Mexico City
Participating venues include Casa Kahlo, Anahuacalli, Universum, the Soumaya Museum at Plaza Loreto, the El Carmen Museum, the National Museum of the Interventions, the Diego Rivera Studio Museum, and the Dolores Olmedo Museum, as well as other cultural venues that are part of this initiative.
Each visit adds a new stamp to your collection, turning the circuit into a kind of cultural exploration that allows you to discover different artistic, scientific, and historical expressions at various locations throughout the southern part of Mexico City.

The closing ceremony will take place at Plaza Loreto
Those who complete the circuit can attend the program’s closing ceremony, where they will receive a gift provided by Grupo Fila-Dixon. The final event will take place at Plaza Loreto and will bring together participants who, over the course of several weeks, visited the various museums included in the initiative.
