If you think the World Cup’s biggest thrill will be a penalty in the 90th minute, it’s because you haven’t tried a perfectly cooked northern-style beef taco. While the ball rolls in the stadiums, the real fun will be at Campo Marte with the México de mis Sabores food festival, a culinary extravaganza that promises to leave the score at zero… but from hunger.
The winning lineup
From June 11 to July 19, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Mexico City will forget all about diets. Here there won’t be 11 players, but chefs and traditional cooks to feed the fans with their best recipes.
The goal is clear: a tour of the country through five thematic themes. We’ll start with the tropical flair of the South and the Mayan World, move on to the elegance of the Colonial Cities and the “Heart of Flavor” in the country’s center, then head “north” for Roasted Carnita Week, and finish with a flourish on the Pacific coast.
The “Itacate”

In this tournament, the “VAR” will only be used to check that the tortilla is made of corn. Thanks to the “El Itacate” space, 19 cooks from 14 states will score the winning goal, offering everything from tamales, quesadillas, and tacos to delicious coffee.
More information about access to the event will be provided later.
It doesn’t matter if your team gets eliminated in the first round; at the México de mis Sabores festival, there will always be a rematch served on a clay plate. Bon appétit, and let the tortillas roll!
