You can already visit the MODO’s anniversary exhibition! In the exhibition called “The collection, with all its letters” you will find more than 3 thousand items from the collection of the precinct, which were arranged alphabetically and hide great secrets.
A giant fork, a washing machine that was used decades ago, old candies, classic telephones and even a diving helmet await you in this exhibition, which opened its doors on October 5.
The exhibit is divided according to the letters of the alphabet. For example, you will find the “Ñañaras”, “Oro”, “Quirófano” and even “WC” sections. Among our favorites is the shoe area, where you will not only see antique pieces, but also drawers for shoe boxes that stand out for their designs.
In each section you will find amazing items that will take you on a journey through time. There are radios, toys, perfumes and even a washing machine from several years ago that will surely surprise you. Be sure to take a look at the signs in each section – you’ll love them!
When will the MODO’s anniversary exhibition be open?
This exhibition will be available for a year, so you will have plenty of time to visit it. As we were telling you, you will see more than 3 thousand items, which come from the collection of the Museo del Objeto del Objeto (MODO), which exceeds 200 thousand objects.
Even at the beginning of the exhibition, you will see the first article that was part of this huge collection. Towards the end of the tour you will find a small sample of the most emblematic exhibits that this precinct has had throughout its history.
The best thing is that you can take an object with you and leave it in a glass box so that it becomes part of the MODO collection.
The cost of general admission is $60. You can visit the exhibition from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 hours. The MODO is located at Colima 145, Colonia Roma.
