
If you love classical music, save this plan in your May agenda! The Vasconcelos Library has prepared a program of free concerts with music by legendary composers: Mozart, Beethoven, Debussy, Bach, Ravel and Marcello.
It will be a high-level piano show; concert pianists from Bellas Artes will pay tribute to the favorite composers of all times. Please note, there are only two performances scheduled: May 9 and 25. Take a look at the program.
Friday, May 9 – 17:00
- Mozart: Sonata in C major. Allegro, Andante, Allegreto / Allegro and Andante (Fantasia) in F minor.
- Claude Debussy: The sea. From dawn to noon over the sea, Game of waves, Dialogue of the wind and the sea.
This concert will be presented by pianists Alexander Pashkov and Alejandro Barrañón.
Sunday, May 25 – 13:00
- Marcello and Bach: Concerto in D minor. Andante, Adagio, Presto
- Beethoven: Sonata in C sharp minor. Op. 27, No. 2, Moonlight
- Ravel: Mirroirs, M. 43, Noctuelles, Oiseaux tristes, Une barque sur l’océan, Alborada del gracioso, La vallé des cloches.
The presentation will be in the hands of pianist Alfredo Isaac Aguilar.
What better place to enjoy the music of Mozart, Beethoven and Bach than the Vasconcelos Library! The concerts will take place in the auditorium, which has a capacity for 498 people.
We recommend you arrive early to ensure your admission. And don’t forget to bring an umbrella, sunscreen and a hat or cap; most of the time you need to wait in line outdoors to get in.
