The Munal concerts in July will feature works by iconic composers such as Bach, Liszt, Mozart, and Brahms, among many others. These musical performances will take place on weekends, and admission is free.
If there’s one thing you’ll never run out of in Mexico City, it’s classical music concerts. In July, there will be several must-see performances at the National Art Museum (Munal), located at Tacuba 8 in Mexico City’s Historic Center.
Various artists will perform, including Ana Caridad Acosta, a soloist with the Ópera de Bellas Artes, and pianist Héctor Cruz, among many others.
Dates and all the details about the July concerts at Munal
The upcoming concerts will take place this weekend. On Saturday, July 11, the “20th-Century Opera” concert will be presented by the Ópera de Bellas Artes Studio; while on Sunday, July 12, Svetlana Logounova and the German Choral Ensemble, conducted by Edwin Calderón, will perform works by Mozart, Britten, Ponce, Rutter, Fettke, and more.
The following concerts will take place on:
- Saturday, July 18: Salomé Herrera, a concert pianist with the Bellas Artes, will perform works by Bach, Brahms, Grieg, and Liszt
- Sunday, July 19: You’ll see the concert “La voz cantada” featuring Belinda Ramírez and Héctor Cruz, who will perform works by Mozart, Brahms, Grever, Debussy, Hahn, O. Strauss, and Paisiello
- Saturday, July 25: You’ll enjoy works by Mozart and Dvořák. You’ll see Balbi Cotter, Vitali Roumanov, and Józef Olechowski on stage.
- Sunday, July 26: This is the last concert scheduled for the month. We’ll see Ana Caridad Acosta and David Dumat performing pieces by Oliva, Vidaurri, and Schumann.
All concerts will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Munal reception hall. Admission is free, but space is limited, so be sure to arrive early.
