The Tex-Mex atmosphere, music, and photography will come together at the upcoming Franz Night in June at the Franz Mayer Museum. This edition promises to be an evening full of nostalgia, rhythm, and special activities—undoubtedly the perfect plan for those of us who love the Queen of Tex-Mex herself.
During “Franz Night,” the opening of World Press Photo 2026 will take place as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations.
In addition, the “Photos and Memories” event will take place, where attendees can contribute to the wall of memories by bringing a photograph from a previous visit to the venue or from a Mexican National Team match.
The evening’s entertainment will continue with Tex-Mex karaoke and a Selena Quintanilla impersonation contest that will crown the “most bidi bidi bom bom” person of the night, so participants are invited to wear their best themed outfits. Break out the arracadas, berets, and bell-bottoms!
How much is admission?
The admission ticket includes general entry to the museum, its regular exhibitions, and the evening’s activities. The price is $130, but the venue will offer a 2-for-1 promotion ($65 per person) for those who attend in a Tex-Mex outfit; you can buy your tickets here.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with last admission at 9:00 p.m.
