Museum Night in June 2026 is about to begin!
Here’s a list of some of the events that are part of this edition, which will take place this Wednesday, the 24th.
Get ready for a program that joins in the celebration of Pride Month, along with activities that celebrate World Cup spirit; because yes, Mexico is playing that very day, and several venues will host trading card exchanges, live broadcasts of the match, and much more.
Museum of Popular Art
For the second time during Museum Night, you can enjoy the story of “The Little Prince,” a magical immersive production by Alebrijula. This performance is a Bunraku play featuring beautiful puppets. Each of the two performances has a capacity of 220 people, and tickets can be purchased on the day of the event at the museum entrance.
Tequila and Mezcal Museum
Celebrate diversity, pride, and Mexican traditions during an evening full of talent, color, and music. MUTEM will feature an incredible special drag show headlined by Teysha Flawers and Drag Gordis.
At the same time, there will be an artistic expression workshop (limited to 90 people, including a welcome drink) and a toy horse painting workshop by Colibrí Urbano (limited to 50 people). Both workshops require prior registration via QR code.
It’s worth noting that the venue will offer food and beverages (for an additional fee).
The Casa de la Cultura Postal Museum will celebrate Pride Month with a nighttime drag show as part of the Museum Night activities. The evening will combine art and diversity through a stellar performance that will take over the venue’s main areas. Although the lineup of artists remains a surprise, the event will showcase the talent and creativity of the city’s drag scene.
Before the event, there will be guided tours of the museum’s facilities and exhibitions.
SimiCasa Museum
Get ready for the “SimiGol” edition, where you can experience the thrill of soccer—don’t forget to wear your jersey! The event will feature the “Simi Futolito Cup” to compete with friends, a glittery and colorful “Glam Bar,” and a “Fan Wall” where you can sign a giant Dr. Simi jersey. In addition, there will be a trading card exchange area, a special mascot show, and guided night tours every 30 minutes. The maximum capacity is 350 people per hour.
UC House of Culture
Experience a World Cup atmosphere full of excitement and camaraderie while cheering on the national team! This Museum Night, the museum will broadcast the Mexico vs. Czech Republic match.
In addition to the match, you can participate in various activities, such as a trading card swap, a World Cup memories mural, a family trivia game, and recreational soccer activities. Please note that capacity is limited to 200 people and requires prior registration via email (ucnochedemuseos@gmail.com).
Yancuic Museum
Music, rock, and nostalgia take over the venue with a tribute concert to the legendary band The Doors. The performance will be led by “The Crystal Ship Band” and will last two hours, revisiting the band’s most iconic songs. Capacity for the event is limited to 280 people, and admission is without prior registration.
National Museum of Popular Cultures
Let yourself be swept away by the power of tropical rhythms and the neighborhood’s unique flavor during an unforgettable musical evening. The venue will host the “Sonido Bestial” concert in its beautiful Patio Jacarandas, an ideal space to enjoy yourself, dance, and feel the energy of the community with this musical performance brimming with energy and tradition. Admission is in person at the venue on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached, which is limited to 200 people.
Futurama Cultural Center
Feel the rhythm and experience the freedom of music at a spectacular Jazz Night. The band leading the evening’s entertainment will be “Groove Dealers,” with fantastic live performances that will let you get swept up in the bohemian atmosphere characteristic of the city’s northern district. The event is open to the public without registration, with a maximum capacity of 150 people.
Casa Rivas Mercado
Discover one of the most impressive architectural gems of the 19th century on this guided tour. You’ll learn about its history and marvel at its eclectic and ornate architecture.
