Summer 2025 is already here! Before you jump into visiting your favorite museums, take note, because UNAM museums will be closed during the vacations. Here are the dates you should take into account.
During the summer UNAM takes an administrative vacation period, which covers its museums and cultural centers. This year it will last approximately three weeks. Take your precautions.
Which UNAM museums will be closed during summer vacation 2025?
These UNAM museums will be taking a well-deserved summer vacation. The following museums will be closed:
- Museo UNAM Hoy – closed from July 5 to 26.
- Palacio de la Escuela de Medicina Museum – closed from July 5 to 27.
- Geology Museum – will be closed from July 7 to 28.
- Museum of the Constitutions – will be closed from July 5 to 29.
- National Biodiversity Pavilion – closed from July 5 to July 28.
- Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) – closed July 5 to 29
- Casa del Lago UNAM – will be closed from July 5th to 29th.
- Museo Universitario del Chopo – closing from July 5 to July 29
You are probably wondering: will the Universum be closed during the vacations? Yes, it will be closed, but for other reasons. The museum will be closed from July 9 to 13 for works at the site. Afterwards, it will open its doors; in fact, between July 16 and August 31 there will be many activities for children.
It is also important for you to know that between July 5 and 27 the access to the park will be through Avenida del Imán. Are you all ready to go on vacation? Remember that the children’s summer vacation begins on July 17 and ends on August 31.
