Let’s pamper your palate! Dive into delicious dishes at the Mushroom Festival 2025 in Amecameca, State of Mexico. They will be selling all kinds of food, from tacos and quesadillas to mushroom soup.
Everything is more than ready for the next edition of this festival, which will take place next August 2 and 3 in San Pedro Nexapa, Amecameca. It is less than two hours from Mexico City, so don’t hesitate to take a ride. It will be right on the weekend.

In this festival you will not only find a great gastronomic variety; there will also be all kinds of activities, such as a ride (last year’s was 10km) and sale of handicrafts, which will make reference to mushrooms.
Of course they will also sell mushrooms for you to make your own dishes at home. In addition, there will be artistic and cultural shows. For example, on August 2, the activities will begin with the presentation of the dance school “La indicada”.
That same day Pedro Meneses y Los Nenes, a norteño band, will perform. On Sunday, August 3, there will be performances by ballet folklorico, mariachi and more. Towards the end of the day you will see Mr. Poder on stage. Everything will take place at the esplanade of San Pedro Nexapa. Admission to the event will be free.
According to UNAM Global, there is no mushroom season in Mexico, as we find them all year round; however, they tend to appear mainly between June and November due to the rains.
