“It is being worked on with the telephone companies. They presented it to me the other day, but I don’t remember if by April it is going to be ready or it is until September,” Sheinbaum said on the morning of March 21.

However, the National Coordination of Civil Protection has informed on its social networks that if you are in the CDMX you will receive an alert message on your cell phone with the phrase “this is a drill”.

The seismic alert will sound on all loudspeakers at 11:30 am, and absolutely everyone must follow safety protocols in the event of a large magnitude tremor.
It is not yet known what the hypothesis of the earthquake will be, nor its epicenter. However, the National Drill will also be carried out in Guerrero, Michoacán, Estado de México, Puebla, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Morelos, although coverage may vary depending on the location.
The purpose of this National Drill is to promote the culture of civil protection among the population and to contribute to the strengthening of the reaction capabilities of the internal units and their brigades in the event of a real emergency.
