We’re just a few days away from the 2026 Mexico City Half Marathon, a sporting event that will debut a new route this year. It will pass through areas such as Chapultepec Forest and Paseo de la Reforma. Take note!
We’re halfway through the year! That means this sporting event is just around the corner. The Mexico City Half Marathon will take place on July 12, 2026, and will cover a distance of 21 km.
The race will start at exactly 5:50 a.m., and runners will start in waves. This time, the starting line will be in front of the Hemiciclo a Juárez, and the finish line will be at the Angel of Independence on Paseo de la Reforma.
This is the new route for the 2026 Mexico City Half Marathon
At a press conference, city officials announced that on this new route, participants will pass by iconic landmarks such as the Hemiciclo a Juárez, the Monument to the Revolution, Paseo de la Reforma, and Chapultepec Forest.
Among the streets runners will pass through are Fernando Alencastre and Calzada Chivatito. Remember that, in previous editions, the race used to finish on Paseo de la Reforma, right near the Torre del Caballito.
This year’s medal was also unveiled at the press conference; it features images of various iconic landmarks in Mexico City, such as the Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Monument to the Revolution, and the Torre Latinoamericana, as well as the date of the race.
