Learn about the new rules for the sale of tickets for large concerts that Profeco will apply.
As we mentioned, these new rules cover many aspects of large concert tickets:
- Sale of tickets for large concerts: ticket sellers will have to provide information on times, location, date, and artists at least 24 hours before tickets go on sale.
- Map or plan of the event: it is mandatory to publish a map specifying the sections and the number of seats in each one, as well as the prices.
- Section prices: these must also be published in advance and cannot be modified at the time of purchase; in other words, the advance information must include all extra costs (interest, insurance, etc.).
- Cancellations: the method for obtaining a refund must be provided.
- Complementary services: these cannot be automatically included in the purchase; they can only be purchased voluntarily. All these services must be optional.
- VIP packages: complete information must be provided about what is included and the costs.
