It’s official: we’ll have Night of the Stars 2026! This is an event where astronomy and science take center stage. Although the event is still several months away, the first details of this year’s edition have already been revealed.
Through its official accounts, the UNAM Institute of Astronomy announced that in 2026 the event will have several themes: the 20th anniversary of the redefinition of a planet, the 115th anniversary of the birth of Paris Pismis, and the 75th anniversary of the discovery of the 21-cm hydrogen radiation.
Date of the 2026 Night of the Stars
This year, the event will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2026. It’s still a long way off, so the program hasn’t been revealed yet; however, you should know that every year they hold telescope observations and science-related activities.
The event takes place at various venues across the country, primarily in Mexico City. There are must-see activities at every location! As the date approaches, more details about the 2026 edition will be revealed. In the meantime, mark November 14 on your calendar so you don’t miss a thing.
