Official price list for trajineras in Xochimilco and other costs
The official rate to rent a trajinera at any of the ten tourist or ecological piers in Xochimilco is $750 pesos per hour of service. This price is not per person, but per hour of service. You will find two types of trajineras available, and you can distinguish them by the color of their canopy:
- Green awning, with maximum capacity for 18 people.
- Blue awning, with a maximum capacity for 12 people.
If you prefer a cheaper, faster or direct option to any point in Xochimilco, you can also take a collective boat, which costs $50 pesos for a single trip and $100 pesos for a round trip.
In addition to the tour of the canals, Xochimilco offers horseback riding in the Nativitas Forest, with official rates of $135 pesos for 30 minutes and $260 pesos for a full hour.
One of the attractions is the live music that you can find along your ride. There are also official prices per song:
- Mariachis: $300
- Norteños: $230
- Trios: $170
- Marimba: $170
- Psaltery and accordion: $170
Remember that all these prices apply and are valid in the 10 wharfs of Xochimilco, which are open 365 days a year.
