The month’s cultural calendar will close with a musical evening at one of the city’s most beautiful venues. You guessed it! We’re talking about the opera concert that will take place at Chapultepec Castle during April’s Museum Night. It’s a free event that will also kick off the celebrations for Children’s Day 2026.
The show is titled “Voices of Dawn and Silence” and will be presented by the Mexican National Opera Company and the Orizaba Monumental Choir.
The first part of the concert pays tribute to the work of maestro José Francisco Vázquez Cano; of particular note is the performance of the aria “Dharma,” from his opera *El rajáh*. The second part will be titled “Mexico for Children” and will be dedicated to the little ones; children’s pieces by Mexican composers will be performed.
What time does the opera concert at Chapultepec Castle start?

The performance will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will take place in the castle’s event courtyard. Please note that capacity is limited to 250 people, so we recommend arriving early.
It should be noted that the concert will not be the only activity: guided tours in groups of forty people will begin at 5:15 p.m. Additionally, in the auditorium there will be a historical talk titled “The Giant Martín Salmerón at the Castle” presented by María Hernández; it will begin at 6:00 p.m.
