An important note: the firefly viewing is organized directly by the participating ecoparks; this time there are three. Each one offers a different experience, but all are equally memorable.
Just remember to book your firefly-watching tour in advance directly with them, as everything is subject to availability at each location:

- 🪨 Basalt Prisms: 55 3116 7653 / 56 4631 5980

Keep in mind that the experience takes place in cold, damp, or rainy conditions, because that’s the kind of weather fireflies love. To make sure you have an amazing time and don’t end up suffering, here are the rules of the game:
- The Essential Outfit: Wear a warm jacket and a raincoat. Heads up! Umbrellas are prohibited.
- 4×4 traction for your feet: Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes. The trails get muddy, and we don’t want your hike to end with an epic slip.
- Follow the guides’ instructions at all times. They are trained to keep you safe.
- Bring some cash: Don’t forget to bring enough cash for meals, drinks, and other services. Hiking always works up an appetite.
The 2026 firefly season is about to begin, and Texcoco could become the top destination for seeing these glowing insects up close. Are you up for it?
