Eating out isn’t always affordable for everyone; sometimes our budget doesn’t allow us to visit well-known spots and enjoy diverse culinary offerings. “Pay What You Can” is an initiative where you can dine at various restaurants across the city and, as the name suggests, pay whatever you can without any judgment.
This initiative, developed by the restaurant Masala y Maíz, aims to allow more people to enjoy a complete dining experience without money being an issue.
This edition will feature international cuisines, bakeries, and bars not only from Mexico City but also from other cities around the world, such as New York, Istanbul, San Francisco, and more.
In general, your visit will be very similar to a regular dining experience. However, in previous editions, some establishments kept their drink prices at menu rates or were forced to limit orders so that all diners could enjoy their meals.
