The sky will once again be painted with colors with Volarte 2026, the festival where kites fly next to the Cholula pyramid.
One of the most enchanting events of the year has finally confirmed its next edition. From February 12 to 14 , a bunch of monumental kites will be flying : this edition’s theme is cartoons, so you’ll see your favorite characters flying through the air.
Of course, you can bring your own kite and fly it, but if you’re a professional, you can enter the contest and win up to 15,000 pesos.
Everyone can participate! The only conditions are that it must be a cartoon-themed piece and it must be a handmade kite. You can register your creation in the master, family, and children’s categories.
This event usually has food options, as well as a bazaar with different accessories. There is no shortage of great atmosphere, as attendees will enjoy shows, dancing, and live concerts.
The Volarte kite festival will take place in the Intermunicipal Park, next to the Great Pyramid of Cholula. It’s a colorful spectacle above one of the most beautiful pre-Hispanic monuments in Puebla!
