This weekend, we’ll be able to see a performance inspired by *The Little Prince* at the Cenart (National Center for the Arts). And not only that—there will also be other artistic performances as part of the series “Opera Is Pure Fiction…and So Is Ballet.”
“The Boy Who Rides Asteroids” is a play inspired by *The Little Prince*, which explores the emotional disconnect that can exist between parents and children. You’ll embark on a journey of separation and reunion.
This performance, choreographed by Reyna Pérez, will be available only this weekend; it will also feature a special performance for people with neurodivergence.
When can we see the play inspired by *The Little Prince* at Cenart?
This show will be presented on July 11 and 12. There will be two performances each day: at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tickets cost $180 per person (plus service charges).
The relaxed performance (ideal for people with neurodivergence) will take place on Friday, July 10, at 3:00 p.m. It’s worth noting that on Wednesdays, there’s a 2-for-1 deal for Saturday and Sunday performances. You can purchase your tickets online.
As we mentioned, this won’t be the only show in this series. On July 18 and 19, the opera “The Magic Flute According to Papageno” (with music by Mozart) will be presented, while on July 25 and 26, we’ll see “Monkey,” an opera based on the legend of the Monkey King.
