This Thursday, July 11, the Prehispanic Food Fair in Iztapalapa 2024 began. This event seeks to highlight the roots of Mexican cuisine. Come to the event and pamper your palate.
During four days you will be able to taste a great variety of dishes such as tlayudas, cactus water, blue corn atole and even chapulines, among many others.
This year’s edition will be held from July 📅11 to 14 at the 📍Macroplaza in Iztapalapa. The idea of the event is to rescue and pay tribute to the cultural and gastronomic richness of the native peoples, as well as to revalue ancestral knowledge.
It should be remembered that traditional Mexican cuisine has been considered Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010.

Everything is ready for the 2024 edition, which will include the participation of different exhibitors from various municipalities of Mexico City. The gastronomic offer will be extensive. In fact, they will not only sell dishes, but also different products and ingredients. You will be able to visit the event in a 🕒 Time: from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The 🎟️ ticket is free, while food will have different costs.
In addition to tasting different dishes, you will learn more about the traditions of the native peoples, traditional foods and enjoy artistic and cultural shows, as well as talks and exhibitions. Take note of the details and enjoy the week-end with lots of food!
