In addition to celebrating this date, this event also seeks to pay homage to pre-Hispanic dances; this prior to the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of Mexico-Tenochtitlan, which will be celebrated this 2025.
What time will be the pre-Hispanic monumental dance in the Zócalo of CDMX?
According to government authorities, the event will start at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4. About two thousand dancers of Pilares will participate; this was informed in a press conference. It is worth mentioning that the event is free of charge.
Organize your agenda and take a walk to see this enormous demonstration of pre-Hispanic dances. Although it will be in the afternoon, remember to be well protected against the high temperatures, remember that we are in the middle of the hot season.
It is worth mentioning that this event is part of the last activities of this year related to the International Dance Day 2025. As part of the program we will also find Dancing in the Cosmos, an activity in Faro Cosmos in which students from the School of Dance of Mexico City will perform.
