If you’re the type who takes advantage of a trip to visit Primark, we have news for you: the famous Irish fashion chain is officially coming to Mexico. And it’s doing so in partnership with Liverpool, through an alliance that marks the brand’s entry into the Mexican market.
First of all, is it official? Liverpool announced the agreement on September 10 via a material disclosure filed with the Mexican Stock Exchange, confirming a strategic partnership to bring Primark to Mexico.
The arrival is particularly significant because Mexico will serve as Primark’s gateway to Latin America, following an international expansion that has already taken the company across Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
When will Primark open in Mexico?
That’s the big question, and for now, we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out. The locations of the first stores and their opening dates haven’t been announced yet, so there isn’t a confirmed location in Mexico City as of now.
The partnership calls for Primark to enter the Mexican market alongside Liverpool. However, specific details regarding the locations of the stores and when they will begin operations have yet to be confirmed.
So, while we can already celebrate the fact that we’ll see Primark in Mexico, we’ll have to wait to find out if Mexico City will be among the first cities chosen.
What is Primark, and why is it so well-known?
Primark was founded in Ireland in 1969 and has become an international chain known primarily for offering affordable fashion and everyday essentials. Its product line includes clothing for women, men, and children, as well as accessories, beauty products, and home goods.
The expansion has been massive: in September 2026, the company celebrated the opening of its 500th store and currently has a physical presence in 19 countries across Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
The arrival in Mexico now opens a new chapter for the company and, above all, raises a question that many of us surely have in mind: where will the country’s first Primark open?
