Natural pulque, cured meats, and nostalgia all in one event! The Pulque, Traditional Cuisine, and Mezcal Festival returns to Mexico City with an edition dedicatedto the burrito pulquero. In addition to drinking and eating delicious food, you’ll enjoy a lovely tribute to the animal that symbolizes the Mexican countryside.
Organized by Adelitas Empresarias, this event comes with a wide array of culinary offerings, spirits, and plenty of activities.
The event is scheduled for July 4 and 5 at Doméstico, a venue located at Av. Nuevo León 80 in the Hipódromo Condesa neighborhood, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Creative workshops, art, and more activities

The festival will offer various workshops, such as “Fiesta del maguey,” “Burrito en yeso,” and even “Burrito en manta.” You can also take a stroll through the exhibition “The Donkey in Mexican Culture,” which will make you reflect on the importance of this animal in rural and popular cultures.
Plus, you can leave your mark on the collaborative living burrito mural, or join the maguey trail—an interactive experience featuring clues and questions scattered throughout the booths that will give you the chance to win an extra ticket for the grand raffle.
A feast of pulque, mezcal, and traditional cuisine
More than 25 master mezcal makers will present varieties of agave such as arroqueño, espadín, tobalá, tepeztate, cuishe, madre cuishe, cedrón, jabalí, mexicano, and coyote. In addition, there will be more than 20 flavored pulque varieties with nostalgic flavors, though there will also be options for white (natural) pulque.
The feast is not to be missed, featuring Mexican dishes ranging from tlayudas and birria to cecina and flautas.
Finally, there will be an area featuring handicrafts made from textiles, silver, clay, talavera, wood, and ceramics, as well as packaged delicacies such as grasshoppers, black garlic, mole, sauces, and pulque bread.
