Let’s indulge your craving at the Feria de la Petrolera y el Pulque in CDMX! This is a gastronomic event where you will enjoy a dish originally from the Azcapotzalco district: the petroleras. Go ahead and try them.
The petroleras are a garnacha from the north of CDMX. It is a huge tortilla of more than 30 cm that is usually filled with refried beans. On the outside is put steak, chorizo and cheese. It is a hearty dish, so we recommend you go with an appetite, as they are very filling.
During the last weekend of September there will be a gastronomic fair dedicated to this dish, which emerged in the 18 de Marzo Refinery in the Azcapotzalco district. Admission is free.
