
This weekend you have an appointment with popular art! A new collective expo on handmade signs will open its doors under the name “A Puro Pincel”.

14:00 hours, you have an appointment with one of the most colorful and endearing crafts of the CDMX. This new exhibition that will fill with tradition
FARO Tláhuac pays tribute to the art of the traditional sign, the one that fills with color markets, lunch shops and neighborhood businesses.
The exhibition brings together the talent of more than 30 graphic artists who have kept this urban tradition alive with a pure hand and paintbrush. Under the curatorship of Quetzalcóatl Molina, designer of the Laboratorio Comunitario de Diseño, the exhibition takes you on a visual journey full of history, creativity and a lot of Chilean identity.
You will see 20 handmade signs made with techniques ranging from tin to MDF, historical photos of the Sindicato de Cinematografistas that portray marches from the 40s to the 80s, and even images from the personal archive of journalist and artist Plaqueta.
Among the participating artists are names such as Isaías Salgado, Rogervs, Julia Pieper and Canela Fina, who show that the sign not only informs, but also excites, tells stories and decorates our streets with unique style.
