This storm is expected to bring heavy to very heavy rain. These rains are likely to be accompanied by strong winds, hail, and lightning.
Given this forecast, the agency recommends:
- Wear a raincoat or use an umbrella
- Do not cross streets with running water
- Do not seek shelter under trees
In the event of thunderstorms, it is recommended to:
- Stay indoors and close windows and doors. Avoid leaning out onto balconies
- Stay away from gas and electrical lines
- Unplug electrical appliances to prevent damage

Authorities specified that this rainy spell will begin on May 18 and end on Thursday, May 21. As for the heat, maximum temperatures of 23 to 27 degrees are expected during that period.
It is worth noting that the rainy season has already begun and will be impacted this year by the El Niño phenomenon. The National Water Commission (Conagua) stated that the rainy season will be widespread in June, while July will see slightly below-average rainfall.
Rainfall will increase in September and October. This season usually extends into November; so take precautions, as very rainy months lie ahead.
