If you’re the type who could eat noodles and broth no matter the weather, make a note of this event. Ramen Week 2026 will bring together 10 restaurants in Mexico City on a culinary tour dedicated to discovering different ways to prepare this dish.
The initiative, organized by Gori Gori Ramen as part of International Ramen Day, which is celebrated on August 25, will take place from August 24 to 30, 2026. The idea is to explore different spots around the city and discover everything from Japanese-inspired recipes to versions that incorporate Mexican flavors.
A Ramen Passport to Explore Mexico City
The highlight of the event will be the Ramen Passport, which will cost $50 and include a complimentary drink from Schorle Felix. At each participating restaurant, you’ll receive a stamp or sticker to mark your visit.
Although Ramen Week ends on August 30, the passport can still be used until September 2, 2026. In addition, the first five people to fill it out will receive a surprise gift from the ramen community.
The tour includes a wide variety of options, making it a great excuse to explore the ramen scene that has flourished in the capital.

Among the offerings, you’ll find plant-based ramen, styles like shoyu and tonkotsu, home-style Japanese cuisine, and culinary experiments that bridge Mexico and Japan. One such example is Gori Gori Ramen’s “birriamen,” a creation that blends Mexican flavors with Asian tradition.
The tour also offers a glimpse into how this dish has found fertile ground in Mexico City’s culinary scene, where traditional recipes, contemporary interpretations, and fusions with local ingredients currently coexist.
