Harry Potter: Magic at Play is located next to the Zócalo (Calle de la Palma 14, Centro) and we really recommend a visit if you are a fan of the saga of the Boy Who Lived. Check the schedule, set aside two hours and show up for this fun experience, and don’t forget your magical outfit!
It’s like being in the movies
If you know the movies backwards and forwards, at Magic at Play you’ll feel like you’ve crossed the screen. From the Dursley’s house on Privet Drive in the first scene of the first movie, to the halls of Hogwarts, you’ll live a magical and interactive experience, with surprises to be discovered in every room!
For true fans of the Wizarding World
Magic at Play surprised us with its size. If you’re expecting a couple of sets, you’re sorely mistaken. This experience has more than 15 rooms with iconic moments from the Harry Potter saga. You can walk through the Forbidden Forest, play Quidditch, and travel down the chimney with Flu Dust.
It may not be like going to the recording studios in London, but it feels very similar and here you can play and explore to your heart’s content.
Favorite moment: classes
Who would say that the classes are the best part of the experience? And Potions! Maybe it’s because Snape wasn’t there to scold us. You get to play with cauldrons, examine ingredients for potions, levitate a feather, or identify pixies in the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom.
Harry Potter: Magic at Play has sets for taking pictures and playing games
Magic at Play is serious about play. All the interactive moments are designed for children and adults to enjoy and truly feel part of the magical world. In addition, every corner is an opportunity to take fun and aesthetic photos. If you want, you can even hire a photo package so that the magic of the green screen will make you fly on a broomstick or conjure a Patronus.
The store
Honestly, we were surprised that the store was so big and with such a variety of products. Here you can get anything from a bottle of Butterbeer to wands and capes. Of course they have Hogwarts house products, but they also have other unreleased products if you want to do your Christmas shopping.
