July is here! During this month we will have a lot of events in Mexico City, such as a free recital at Los Pinos, in which themes by different composers will be performed, including Richard Strauss and more.
This chamber music recital will be led by the Orquesta Escuela Carlos Chávez, with the participation of Luis Castro and Oleg Gouk. The best thing is that admission is free; just try to arrive early to get a seat, as the concert will be held in a closed venue.
When will the free concert be held at the Complejo Cultural Los Pinos?
The date is this Saturday, July 5 at 2:30 pm. The event will take place in the Benito Juárez Hall of the Los Pinos Cultural Complex (Molino del Rey 252, first section of the Chapultepec Forest, in the Miguel Hidalgo district). You can get there on Line 3 of the Cablebus.
The program includes pieces by Igor Stravinski, Joseph Haydn, Richard Strauss, Spike Maiden Mueller and Reicha Anton.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the only free concert that the Orquesta Escuela Carlos Chávez will have at Los Pinos. On Sunday, July 13, the show Echoes of Battle will be presented, where the Overture to The Great Russian Easter will be performed, among other pieces.
The orchestra will be conducted by Eduardo García Barrios. On this occasion it will be in the open air at the Los Pinos tennis court.
