Following the attack that occurred on April 20 at the Teotihuacán Archaeological Zone, the site was secured; however, the National Institute of Anthropology and History ( INAH) and the Ministry of Culture announced that it will reopen on Wednesday, April 22.
This was announced in a statement published on their official website. The pyramid area and museums will resume operations during their regular hours (from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
The Pyramid of the Moon will remain closed
Let us recall that in May 2025, access to the first level of the pyramid resumed after several years of closure for conservation work.
Due to that attack, access to this monument will remain closed until further notice.
