If you’re one of the lucky ones with a ticket in hand and are already making plans, the Mexico City government has launched the official Park & Ride service, a gem of a transportation solution that offers several routes to get to the CDMX Stadium on June 11 without spending too much or suffering a nervous breakdown in traffic.
The process is simple: leave your car at an authorized parking lot and take the Red de Transporte de Pasajeros (RTP) buses or the trolleybus to the soccer party.
There are four strategic locations throughout the city so you can choose the one that works best for you:
- National Auditorium Route (RTP Service): You board at Calzada Reforma Nacional s/n, at the corner of the legendary Paseo de la Reforma Avenue. The bus departs from there and drops you off directly at CETRAM Huipulco.
- Santa Fe Route (RTP Service): Ideal for the corporate district. The meeting point is at the Santa Fe Shopping Center (Juan Salvador Agraz 3000, Lomas de Santa Fe), with the final destination also at CETRAM Huipulco.
- Xochimilco Route (RTP Service): For those heading further south, it departs from Xochimilco Ecological Park (Canal de Garay, Anillo Periférico 1) and goes straight to CETRAM Huipulco.
- Six Flags Route (RTP Service): Meet at the amusement park parking lot (Picacho-Ajusco Highway Km 1.5, Jardines del Ajusco) and you’ll be taken directly to CETRAM Huipulco.
- Plaza Carso Route (Trolleybus Service): If you’re in Polanco, the departure point is at Lago Zurich 245, Colonia Granada. Unlike the others, this special Trolleybus service drops you off at the Santa Úrsula / Santo Tomás stop, just a few steps from the action.
Details of the plan
To avoid getting caught in the rush, take note of the rules of the game: all special services will be available starting at 7:00 a.m. and will run continuously every 15 minutes. The cost of the service is $500 and includes round-trip transportation.
Take a good look at your options and take advantage of these routes to get to the CDMX Stadium on June 11 without a hitch.
