If you’re looking for something to do at night in Mexico City, you can’t miss the show that’s lighting up one of the country’s most beautiful venues. Mark your calendars because here’s the schedule for the video mapping at Bellas Artes, along with all the details so you don’t miss the audiovisual show called “Mexico, City That Dances.”
It’s an absolutely awesome audiovisual experience, where the venue’s white marble facade becomes a giant canvas for projecting different scenes from dance culture.
In total, the public will be able to enjoy 12 shows on June 15 and 16, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with six screenings every half hour.
This event is free and is designed for both residents of the capital and domestic and international visitors who are out celebrating the World Cup.
What will you see and hear? Everything! There’s a musical journey that includes danzón, cha-cha-cha, mambo, salsa, cumbia, norteña, rock, ska, reggae, reggaeton, and electronic music, as well as references to pre-Hispanic music.
Iconic songs will be featured, such as “Nereidas,” “El Bodeguero,” “Mambo No. 5,” “La Boa,” “Sobre las Olas,” “Cumbia sobre el Río,” “La Chona,” “Triste Canción de Amor,” “La Dosis Perfecta,” “Gasolina , ” and “Cariñito.”
