Last minute change! The Mega Ofrenda 2025 in the Zócalo has a new inauguration date and time; it will now be on Sunday, October 26, at 12:00 noon.
Mexico City authorities informed that the inauguration will not be this Saturday, October 25, as scheduled, but will be moved back one day. What is a fact is that the installation will remain at the Plancha until November 2. Take precautions!
What’s in store for you?

Get ready to meet “Encuentro entre voces, poemas, peregrinaje, historia y tradición” (Encounter between voices, poems, pilgrimage, history and tradition), a mega-ofrenda made by the collective Zion-art-studio.
The exhibition will not only commemorate the Day of the Dead, but also the 700th anniversary of the founding of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. It will especially be a tribute to the Mexica goddess Tonantzin – you will see figures up to ten meters high!
There will also be a sawdust carpet on 20 de Noviembre Avenue, as well as a lot of cempasúchil flowers.
Save the day, because you already have a plan for this October 26th.
In addition to the Monumental Ofrenda, there will be a catrinas parade this Sunday.

The Catrinas Procession 2025 is more than ready. It will take place this Sunday, October 26, from the Angel of Independence to the Zócalo of CDMX, where the Pérez Prado Orchestra will close this event with a flourish.
It is worth mentioning that 40 thematic contingents will participate, and there will be live music from 2:00 pm at the Angel’s traffic circle.
As you can see, a very fun weekend awaits you. Here is a list of the massive events that will take place this weekend.
