This April 23 is International Book Day and the Vasconcelos Library will have a series of FREE activities, including the screening of the films The Red Dragon and The Silence of the Innocents. The program includes workshops, music, storytelling and more from 🗓️ April 22 to 25.
The activity that will open the itinerary will be precisely the screening of The Red Dragon in the auditorium of the Vasconcelos; it will be on Tuesday, April 22 at ⏰ 17:30 and only people over 18 will be admitted. While the screening of The Silence of the Innocents will be on Wednesday 23 at ⏰ 17:30, it is also an activity for adults.
What activities will there be at the Vasconcelos for Book Day 2025?
On Wednesday, April 23 there will be several workshops with limited space for 20 people:
- Secret Abecedarian with babies! – 11:00 and 17:00 – for babies from 6 months to 3 years old.
- Cocinita Vasconcelos – 13:00 – for children from 3 to 6 years old.
- Bookish festivities… The lighthouse keeper – 15:30 – for children from 7 to 12 years old.
At 14:00 the little ones can enjoy a storytelling show about the story Tales for traveling without a passport. And at 17:00 the exhibition Otras formas de leer: un encuentro con los libros alternativos (Other ways of reading: an encounter with alternative books) will be inaugurated.
On Thursday, April 24, the Youth Symphonic Band and Choir of the Texcoco Musical Education Schools will give a concert in the auditorium, starting at 17:00. The program culminates on Friday, April 25 with a reading circle on Japanese literature.
