At this book sale, you’ll find all kinds of books. Through its official social media accounts, the Los Pinos Cultural Complex announced that first editions, books signed by their authors, and out-of-print titles will be available for purchase.
Among the titles to be sold are: “En algún valle de lágrimas” by José Revueltas, “Cartucho” by Nellie Campobello, “Días de guardar” by Carlos Monsiváis, and “Los convidados de agosto” by Rosario Castellanos, among many other books.

The books will be sold at various prices. You’ll even find several promotions and discounts. Arrive early so you can see everything that’s available. They’ll also be selling notebooks, buttons, mugs, and other items.
You can visit this special sale at the tennis court of the Los Pinos Cultural Complex on August 29 and 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free. If you’re taking public transportation, you can get off at the Constituyentes station (for the Metro and Cablebús), which is just a few steps from this location in Chapultepec Forest.
What will happen to Ediciones Era?
Ediciones Era has just celebrated its 66th anniversary. After several rumors claiming that it would close permanently, the publishing house released a statement explaining that while it will not close, it will scale back its operations to a minimum.
In response to this announcement, various initiatives have been launched to support this publishing house, such as special sales.
