If you’re looking for a free summer program in Mexico City for your kids to make the most of their school break, the National Museum of World Cultures has an option that will take them on a journey through time without leaving the Historic Center. It’s called “An Adventure Through Ancient Greece, ” a program aimed at children ages 6 to 12.
For two weeks, the young participants will learn about the traditions and customs of ancient and modern Greece through fun activities designed to strengthen cognitive, motor, and social skills. All of this takes place at one of the city’s most iconic cultural venues.
Here’s what the free Mexico City summer camp inspired by Ancient Greece will be like
The program includes a variety of activities that will introduce the kids to Greek culture in a fun and interactive way. There will be cooking workshops, film screenings followed by discussions, theater, origami, informal gatherings, and sessions dedicated to Greece’s most famous myths and legends.
The program aims to help participants learn while they play, create, and interact with one another. Through these activities, they’ll discover aspects of daily life, traditions, and cultural expressions that have shaped the history of this country.
In addition to fostering creativity and teamwork, the program offers a cultural alternative for summer vacation in Mexico City, combining learning and entertainment in a single setting.
Dates, Requirements, and Registration
Applications to secure a spot will be accepted from June 23 to July 17, 2026. Since enrollment is limited to 80 participants, it is recommended that you apply early.
Requirements include a birth certificate, proof of address, a voter ID card belonging to the father, mother, or guardian, as well as two child-sized photos of the minor and two of their guardian.
