The knowledge and flavors of southeastern Mexico are coming to Mexico City to leave us wide-eyed (and with our taste buds tingling)! The Tabasco Festival at Los Pinos will be the perfect event to learn a little more about the artistic, musical, and culinary culture of this state.
As you probably know, this venue hosts festivals dedicated to showcasing the culture of other regions and towns across our country. On April 4 and 5, it’s time to discover Tabasco’s diversity—without leaving the capital and without spending too much, since admission is free.
What awaits you? Around a hundred people from Tabasco will gather here—including traditional cooks, artisans, and workshop leaders—who will present a vast program of activities showcasing various artistic expressions.

Marimba music, traditional dances, storytelling, danzones, zapateo, and workshops related to cacao and chocolate are just some of the activities.
Meanwhile, the Cocinas de Humo will be serving up a delicious menu that includes: pejelagarto tamales, corn atole with cocoa, cheese-stuffed plantains, mondongo, chanchamitos, and many more recipes.
Of course, you’ll be able to take some products home with you! The Tabasco Festival at Los Pinos will feature a bazaar where you’ll find craft beer from Comalcalco, cassava products from the community of Tamulté, polvillo, chocolate, and much more.
You still have time to plan your visit to this great weekend event—remember, it’s open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Let your whole family know!
