1. Museum Night

The last Wednesday of every month is Museum Night. For one day, Mexico City’s cultural venues and museums extend their hours and offer all kinds of activities, from guided tours to concerts. Here are some not-to-be-missed activities. Of course: before you go we recommend you check the social networks of each venue or Noche de Museos, because some have limited space and usually warn you in advance when there is no more room.

2. Japan, from myth to manga

The day has finally arrived! Among the August events in CDMX is this unmissable exhibition, presented by the Victoria & Albert Museum. You will learn more about Japan, including legends, fashion, cinema and more. It is composed of more than 150 pieces, highlighting the engraving The Great Wave.

3. Mushroom Fair in Cuajimalpa

4. Cri Cri Concerts

5. CDMX Marathon

6. Enchilada Festival

The Enchilada Festival 2025 kicks off on Sunday, August 31. It will last until September 7 and you will enjoy more than 200 varieties of enchiladas. There will also be music and many surprises.

7. Exhibition El Encanto de Seúl

8. Exhibition of dragons

10. Conversation 31 minutes

11. International Cabaret Festival

Looking for things to do in CDMX during August 2025? The International Cabaret Festival will be held for almost the entire month. It will have the slogan “Sin miedo al éxito” (Without fear of success) and more than 54 companies from both Mexico and other countries will participate.
