If you still don’t have plans to celebrate Father’s Day, this event could become one of your weekend favorites. The Tlalpan City Council announced the arrival of the Taquero Festival, a culinary celebration that will bring together Mexican food, shows, and activities for the whole family in the heart of southern Mexico City.
For three days, visitors of all ages will be able to enjoy a wide variety of tacos prepared by local vendors, as well as artistic performances and recreational activities designed to complement the experience. The event aims to combine the flavor of one of the country’s most iconic dishes with a festive atmosphere perfect for sharing with the family.

Tacos, music, and activities for the whole family
In addition to the culinary offerings, the Taquero Festival will feature an entertainment program that includes live music, dance performances, and wrestling matches. There will also be recreational activities for children, as well as special events in honor of Father’s Day.
The goal is for attendees to spend several hours exploring the various food stalls while enjoying performances and cultural activities in a family-friendly atmosphere.
How to get to the Taquero Festival in Tlalpan?
The event will take place at Plaza del Bolero, located in downtown Tlalpan, one of the borough’s most iconic areas. The venue is accessible via various public transportation routes and can also be reached by car.
Due to the expected crowds over the weekend, it is recommended to allow extra travel time, especially during peak hours.
As part of the festivities, the Tlalpan City Hall also announced that on Sunday, June 21, at 7:00 p.m. , Aarón y su Grupo Ilusión will perform on the Tlalpan City Hall Esplanade, adding a touch of cumbia and dance to close out a weekend dedicated to flavor, music, and family togetherness.
