We’re talking about “Tlaxcala en Los Pinos, ” a festival featuring live music, delicious food, and art. Admission is free!
Mark your calendars for this weekend; on August 22 and 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Los Pinos Cultural Complex will come alive with more than 500 representatives from Tlaxcala. Traditional cooks, artisans, and local producers will give us a taste of their region’s immense richness.

If you love good food, you’re going to fall in love with the “Cocinas de Humo.” You’ll be able to sample unique dishes like mole de matuma, ximbotes, insect-based cuisine, the classic basket tacos from San Vicente Xiloxochitla, mole prieto, and cool off with a delicious agua de barranca, as well as pulque from the municipality of Tetla. Save room for dessert, as there will be muéganos, merengues, and even pan de fiesta.

But it’s not all about food; the event will also be a feast for the eyes and ears. It will feature more than 250 members from various groups of “huehues” from the Tlaxcala Carnival. You’ll be able to enjoy dances by groups such as Camino Real and Popular de Payasos, as well as traditional music performed by the Ensamble Típico and the iconic Jarabe Tlaxcalteco.
For those who love art and creativity, Plaza Jacarandas will be filled with pottery, Talavera, totomoxtle, and textiles, while the exhibition “20 Perspectives of Tlaxcala” will welcome you at Plaza Cencalli.
