Right in the midst of nostalgia! Next Saturday, July 25, there will be a tribute concert to Cri Cri at Chapultepec Castle. Iconic songs by Francisco Gabilondo Soler will be performed, such as “Marcha de las letras,” “El ropavejero,” “El Ratón Vaquero,” and “La sirenita,” among many others.
On stage, we’ll see two artists: pianist Martín de la Rosa Hernández, originally from the State of Mexico, and Rebeka Mendoza, from Mexico City.
They will perform several songs by Gabilondo Soler. In addition to those mentioned, the set list includes “El ropero,” “Di porque,” “Caminito de la Escuela,” and others. The event is included in the cost of the castle admission ticket ($105 per person); just be sure to arrive early to secure a seat.

Francisco Gabilondo Soler, also known as Cri Cri el Grillito Cantor, was born in 1907 in Veracruz. He left behind a great musical legacy. According to the Mexican Society of Authors and Composers, the composer’s repertoire includes more than 200 pieces, 120 of which were recorded.
