If you have little ones at home, this note is of interest to you! A new Children’s Space will be inaugurated in Universum where they can play with science and have fun like never before.
📍Universum Museo de las Ciencias de la UNAM (Circuito Cultural de Ciudad Universitaria S/N, Coyoacán, Cd. Universitaria, 04510 Mexico City).
The first thing you should know is that this space is aimed at children from 0 to 8 years old and their companions, and that here they can learn about science through imagination, exploration and play.
This space promotes collaboration between girls, boys and their companions through playful experiences in which they will experiment, create and materialize ideas.
Universum’s new Children’s Space is located on the first floor of building A, and will be a must-see for the little ones, as it is full of self-knowledge, collaboration, identity, emotions, research, creation, life, light, sound, waves, movement, dimensions, and play.
The areas to visit are:
- Theatrino: Be amazed as your imagination comes alive as you create fantastic stories using puppets and costumes.
- Children’s Library: Surprise yourselves with books that will enrich your knowledge and experience in the room. Ideas to take away!
- Me in the Universe: Identify the characteristics of living things and recognize yourself as part of them.
- The universe around me: Compare the diversity of shapes and sizes of living things. Emotions are part of me: Recognize the qualities that give you identity and connect you to other people.
- Light and color: Experiment with light and play with colors and shadows.
- Music and sound: Be amazed by the vibrancy of science as you experiment with sound waves.
- Maker space: Build projects and test your ideas.
- Breastfeeding room: A space equipped for breastfeeding babies, girls and boys, and the storage of breast milk.
When will you be able to visit the new Universum Children’s Space?
The new Espacio Infantil at Universum can be visited 📅 from February 15 at ⏰14 :00, which makes it an excellent weekend plan.
If you can’t make it this weekend, you can visit from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. It is important to know that the box office service and access to the museum is until 4:00 pm.
The general cost to visit Universum is $90 pesos. Children from 2 to 12 years old pay $80 pesos, as well as students, teachers, INAPAM, people with disabilities, alumni and UNAM employees.
