Viking Fest in La Marquesa already has a date set for its 2026 edition. Considered the largest Viking camp in Latin America, this two-day event will bring together thousands of people seeking to experience Nordic culture through battles, shows, music, cuisine, and themed activities.
The event will take place on October 17 and 18 in the Valley of Silence, also known as the Valley of the Medieval Festival, located in La Marquesa, State of Mexico.
The most eye-catching part? The organizers are aiming to break a record by gathering as many attendees as possible dressed as Vikings.
There will be combat, a battle featuring more than 300 warriors, and even Viking weddings
One of the festival’s main attractions will be Viking combat, warrior tournaments, and the final battle, which will bring together more than 300 costumed participants. There will also be mixed-gender battles, exclusive Viking women’s battles, and numerous reenactments inspired by Nordic traditions.
Among the confirmed activities are the Viking village, the weapons museum and encampment, Viking weddings, a traditional altar, Valkyrie dances, folk music, Nordic chants, and more than 30 themed shows spread throughout the weekend.
There will also be plenty of interactive activities such as archery, axe throwing, the Thor Challenge, costume contests, and areas designed for the whole family, including a children’s play area and a Viking farm for the little warriors.
Dragons, mead, and a 2-for-1 ticket promotion
The 2026 edition will also feature the popular Dragon’s Nest, an installation where attendees can take photos with impressive creatures inspired by Norse mythology.
In addition, there will be a Mead and Craft Beer Fair, a themed BeerFest, an outdoor movie theater, fire shows, falconry, and a grand Viking night that promises to be one of the most anticipated highlights of the event.
There’s currently a 2-for-1 ticket promotion available online, valid through June 21. Plus, children under 10 get in free, and the festival is pet-friendly, so your furry friend is welcome, too.
